In Australia Charities and For-Purpose organisations face numerous challenges.
Firstly though, we should probably spell out what we mean by For-Purpose. Many know this as Not-For-Profit or Non-Government Agencies, on the contrary, it is, more than what these things bring to mind. For purpose organisations are designed to achieve a specific purpose within the community, they have a mission and vision bigger than most.
SBAAS includes all Charities (obviously). In the For-Purpose space we include every organisation whose primary purpose isn’t to make a profit, but rather to serve a purpose.
It could be to improve services for members, provide services or products for the under privileged, or to create more space for our native flora and fauna.
