Eric Allgood

Managing Director and Founder

"My legacy is not what I built. It is the community that continues to build, because of connection, inclusion, and the belief that everyone belongs here."

Eric Allgood has spent more than twenty years working at the highest levels of business advisory. His experience is broad and rare. He has led product lifecycle reviews with major Australian manufacturers, guided multinationals through complex compliance, supported boards through governance crises, and helped start-ups build structure and confidence that rival long-established businesses. Whether in a boardroom or at a kitchen table, he brings the same level of thinking, care, and focus on practical outcomes.

He founded SBAAS with a clear purpose: to make high-level commercial support accessible to small business owners. The tradie, the family practice, the entrepreneur with a strong idea—these are the people Eric cares most about, and the work he finds most meaningful.

His credentials are extensive. He holds a Master of Business Law, an MBA, and a Diploma of Psychology, and is a member of four respected governance and management bodies in Australia. He has authored government white papers, contributed to national research on reducing red tape, and helped develop the Small Business Charter, adopted by the Queensland Parliament to formalise protections for small businesses.

During the pandemic, SBAAS became a lifeline for hundreds of businesses. Eric and his team provided urgent advice free of charge to those with nowhere else to turn. He continues to give back through pro bono work, government mentoring programs, and ongoing support for Indigenous, regional, and remote businesses.

He has also worked closely with diverse business communities, including mentoring with QWINBIZ and supporting the Leading Latina Melbourne 2026 convention. He is a White Ribbon Ambassador and Mental Health and Wellbeing Advocate, promoting respectful and inclusive business environments.

Eric’s approach is shaped by his upbringing in Sydney’s inner west, where he learned that real impact comes from guiding people with respect and belief in their potential. Today, he is as comfortable advising multinational boards as he is helping a sole trader navigate their first compliance step. He brings the same capability to every engagement, leaving clients with clarity, confidence, and a clear path forward.

He considers his work a privilege. Not because of awards or recognition, but because of the people he helps—like the business owner who lands their first major contract or the founder who finally brings their vision to life. For Eric, the accolades matter less than the outcomes. The people are the point.
