Small Business Assistance and Advisory Service is proud to sponsor SBAA’s Digital Champions Project.
About the Project
The Small Business Digital Champions Project is an Australian Government initiative intended to inspire and equip Australian small businesses to thrive in the digital economy.
The Project aims to make it easier for small businesses to adopt digital technology, and to encourage engagement with digital technology. With support and inspiration to engage with digital technology, small businesses can unlock their potential and become more effective, competitive and ultimately, more profitable.
As part of the Project, small business industry associations will be leveraged to further extend the reach of the program on the ground. The Government has selected the Small Business Association of Australia (SBAA) to be a ‘Trusted Digital Advisor’. Trusted Digital Advisors will provide a digital advisory service to their association’s small business members. As a “Trusted Digital Advisor we are required to provide sector specific advice on ‘going digital’ to the association’s membership. This may include technology trends and technology adoption; hardware; software; digital training; online content development; online digital planning; and coaching and support.
SBAA Digital Champions: Social Media in the Workplace - FREE
We are being flooded with Social Media invitations and updates. Web-based communication icons like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn are dominating the way we interact with each other.
People are feeling the need to be updated at all times. It has become a time eater, and businesses are quickly becoming aware of the drain it can have on productivity. People love to share, but they need to know what is alright to share and what should not be sent out.
Understanding Social Media is about communicating the right way. We are beginning to communicate more through electronic means than face to face. Talking on a phone has been replaced more and more with SMS (texting.) Social media channels are becoming the main form of communication and your participants will realize how Social media and the Workplace can work together.
